Shared care is not automatic but relies on the father being active and supportive to his children. Here are my tips:
- A father can demonstrate to the family court that they are a great father by being a part of every aspect of his children’s lives.
- An active father should be involved in his children’s daily activities; collect from school / drop off at home, and responsibilities such as homework.
- Know the doctor’s name(s), teachers, and any other major area of his children’s lives.
- Do normal things with the children like arranging playdates for them on weekends and holidays.
